Making homemade fettucini

The girls were so surprised at how homemade pasta is something we can easily do, even if we couldn't quite locate where my antique pasta machine has been stored since the last move. The recipe couldn't be easier: one cup of flour to one egg and little bits of water as needed. The dough is hard and we used the rolling pin and a sharp knife for cutting the strips--and then got creative to hang it to dry until it was time to cook. The result was very positive, as they both exclaimed: "Wow, it tastes like noodles too!"
